Dec. 31, 2021 — The dark moon enters a conjunction with a strong malefic planet in an angle to Jupiter/Neptune. It’s a strong time of psychological longing and spiritual purging. Mars gives the energy and will to destroy that which makes us weak or sick, thereby making us stronger and ready for abundance, which is why Jupiter comes after Mars in planetary order from the Earth. I digress.
A dark moon in Sagittarius ends that sign’s cycle and prepares for a New Moon in Capricorn, where all the planning and ideation in Sagittarius gets set forth into a new intention of taking action and building psychological security through what we do in the material world. In order for a project to get started, there has to be an idea or general goal. That is seen through Sagittarius.
When Mars enters into Sagittarius and conjuncts a dark moon, it gives us the energy to destroy the negative ideologies or concepts within us and foster more positive ones. The dispositor of Sagittarius, Jupiter, has recently re-entered his home in Pisces. The work we do now to heal out internal beliefs about ourselves and the world around us will manifest great fruits in the spring of 2022.
A Few Things to Consider:
- Tune into inner-guidance
- Sift through what’s true and what is a lie
- Examine our own harsh judgements
- Get to the root of what motivates you
Ketu, Moon and Mars Conjunction
The South node is neptunian in nature. It takes us away from the concrete material things, and can provide obstacles or blocks to our desires, as it is the opposite of the north node: what we truly want. The Moon is our emotional nature and our mind. Mars, naturally, is anger, competition and aggression. This conjunction can indicate explosions and enormous power grabs in the undercurrent of society.
Mercury conjunct Pluto is a probing and deep aspect, one in which the mind obsesses over understanding motivations and meanings. It also means that there’s a lot of plotting and a lot of secrets being shared in the higher echelons of power. The next distraction for the masses is coming. The next crisis and the next outrage. Capricorn, being the highest earth sign, shows us where power is held.
Venus, which represents women, vehicles, conveniences and that which gives us comfort, is retrograde in Saturn’s home sign conjoining Pluto. This is often a destructive aspect. Luckily, Saturn, the lord of Capricorn, is in his home sign of Aquarius. This makes him a temporary friend or ally to Venus; it’s akin to having a planet in the 2nd house, it represents financial or material support.
Venus in retrograde, being the ruler of Taurus (North Node) is with Pluto. This is a big change in finances or shifts on the material plane of getting one’s needs met, plain and simple. We’ll have to start thinking in unconventional and out-of-the-box ways (Mercury) to get material conditions met.
Saturn Square Uranus – Breaking Down Structure
Uranus is inconjunct to the Moon and Mars. We have to find new ways of attaining the energy and motivation to endure through a very uncertain existence (Sagittarius generates energy, rules the hips). Meanwhile, Saturn is sextile to the dark moon and provides us the opportunity to integrate painful lessons from the past and take a sober, mature approach to attaining a deeper sense of who we want to be.
Jupiter Square the Nodes at Critical Degrees
Jupiter is at a critical degree in the final sign, situated between two strong outer-planets, indicating that we must all use this time of internal crisis to get closer to spiritual truth that lies far away from where we’ve been looking. The square to the nodal points has to do with the destiny of the collective and our leaders, as well as finances and education.
Since it is in a critical degree, there will be a “coming to terms,” a miniature psychological crisis of sorts, about where we choose to place our trust. This happens only after moving through the private, secretive energies of the dark moon. Pace yourself. Learn where you should let go of unhelpful attachments. Find healthier beliefs (domain of Sagittarius) to cultivate about life. This will help move you forward towards greater financial expansion (north node Taurus).
Uranus (R) Trine Sun
Uranus is in the 6th house from the dark moon and the Sun is in the 2nd house. We may see an illumination of new material responsibilities, as well as new freedoms to be incorporated into our lives. The Sun, meanwhile, is also squared to Chiron: healing our self-esteem issues surrounding work and what we do in the world, as it relates to our identity. Your job is not you, it is just a small part of your life.
Although the term is cliche and overused…this is a time of “transformation” for peoples’ minds. We’re reviewing relationships and figuring out how to engage in them beyond old, outdated rigid ego-based concepts. Pluto can bring out the hidden (outright denied) aspects of a relationships that we’ve bottled up or ignored.
