April 7th brings a full moon in Libra, in the beginning of the constellation of Vishakha, the branched one, a place where different things join together at one unified point.
We focus on the deeper motivations of the “self” and “the other,” during this full moon. Are we charging forward, like the ram, to obtain something we really want at the expense of those around us? How do relationships fit into this grand vision we have?
These are the themes that we should explore when the full moon is on the Libra-Aries axis.
This lunar constellation is all about getting opposing principles within our psyche to join together and make something beautiful and fruitful. It can show a culmination of energies dispersing into three different directions, where we are at a crossroads — left to choose whether we put our own vision and desire first or make adjustments to have others in our lives. The Sun can be a little too hot in Aries, violently burning anything in its way as it charges towards a goal. The Sun, being the archetypal king, can end up ruling an empty kingdom if he doesn’t know how to nourish the relationships with others through regulating his power.
Key Questions Arise During This Time!
How do we stay true to being US while not alienating others and allowing space for emotional receptivity with other people? Are we too centered on our desires being met first? Or are we too hung up on having other people accept us so that we put our desires last in order to people please? The new “you” that birthed during the full moon in Aries, (even a new project or dream) is being balanced out with other people’s perspectives during this time.
There’s a balance to be struck within us, before we see it in the external world. The more in-tune we are with ourselves and who we are, including being honest with ourselves about our desires and passions, the better emotional harmony our relationships have. It’s paradoxical, in a way. The more selfish we are about ensuring that we have our needs met, the less we burden another person with having to do so.
Sun Squared Pluto: A Light in the Darkness of the World
When we have a new “self” established, or a new project, idea or just a grand vision for our lives, it has to eventually come up against the “real world” and get challenged. With Pluto hitting the Sun, there is going to be a lot of transformation and intense willfulness coloring our identity and pushing us towards greater authenticity and self-empowerment. Pluto is the antithesis of the Sun, since it rules the darkness of the underworld and the power that lies beneath the surface of life. It is all about the soul’s evolution and strength. The Sun is more about our strength in the material world: governments, bosses, authority figures etc. This is why the Sun rules the father, one of the first authority figures in our world.
Pluto is all about power in the underworld, hidden from view; the sun is about the power in this world. This square can make us feel disempowered from following our true purpose-filled vision, set during the full moon. Yet, it’s an illusion. We are the most powerful beings in existence, since we are an extension of the Godhead.
The challenge here is to stay consistent with a strong self-confidence in the midst of all the massive fear and hysteria around you. Be the light that shines in the darkness of Hades. You’ll find the exit, heal and move right on through. The world needs your individual strength, optimism and confidence more than ever. Other people can challenge our new identity or confidence and put us down. Don’t let them. Own your own power, set healthy boundaries and demand that they start to own theirs too.
Full Moon’s 6th House: The Obstacles To Balance
Neptune is still on full fog blast, brainwashing the masses through media propaganda and programming. It’s also opening us up to the spiritual realm in a big way. The intuitive psychic faculties may be heightened at this time. Listen to the positive and think on virtuous thoughts. Tune into your spirit guides as well. There is a lot of 12th house energy heightened at this time. Your dreams will guide you in the months to come. Tune out the darkness peddled by the media as best as you can. This is a key asset in helping you find emotional harmony.
Pluto Squared Full Moon: Transforming Our Relationships with Authority
When we change, relationships change. When our values change, we find new people to spend our time with. Pluto is challenging us to face how we really feel about our relationships and what they truly mean to us. Are we letting this world’s negativity pull our emotions into darker states? Pluto cuts to the core of something. It’s not superficial, but digs down to the soul. Emotionally, we are building up strength by balancing out the energy we invest in ourselves and relationships.
