Whenever eclipses happen in the sign of Cancer, there is a crisis of nourishment and security. This often has to do with food shortages, housing market problems or issues with vehicles, or any conveniences that we have at our disposal.
Well…what do you know! We had a lunar eclipse in Cancer, in the sign of Ashlesha, while the north node was in the sign of Pushya (symbolizing nourishment of the cow udder).
In the sidereal system, the eclipse occurred in Gemini, signifying a crisis with young people, education, communication and information.
Well, since schools did close down due to this virus, I suppose that could be true…
But I prefer looking at it from the tropical perspective, which showed the eclipse happening in Cancer, the sign of nurses, cooks, property owners, caretakers, home-based comforts and food.
This brings about a crisis regarding all of these things. It also brings about an emotional crisis, fear that flows into complete hysteria and madness.
Saturn conjoining with Sun Mercury and Pluto indicated to us that the crisis had to do with not just the structures and boundaries of our society being killed off and transformed, but the structures within our own being too: our immune systems being challenged or our foundation (health, finance and physical body: Muladhara chakra of Saturn) being restructured. We have to take responsibility for and ownership of our own health. We can’t expect to be healthy by sitting at a job 40 hours a week, sitting on the coach at home and then watching TV and eating junk food all day without consequence. We expect the doctor or nurse to just “fix it.”
Pay attention to your diet and get exercise daily. Find ways to get more sunlight and more pranic energy moving through the body. We need to train the body to endure (Saturn) more biological threats than ever before. Corona Virus is nothing compared to what will come in the future. There will be worse diseases to come, sadly.
Due to global warming, the melting of the ice caps could lead to ancient pre-historic diseases that have locked away in the ice to be released upon the world, wiping out a large amount of the population. Virologists and disease researchers are going to be the vanguard of the years to come. Pluto hitting Saturn destroys our foundation and structure, forcing us to rebuild it into something better, like the Phoenix rising from the ashes. We must rebuild our immunity and strength. We must figure out ways to depend on ourselves and not the government for safety. This could involve fighting for more independence or succeeding from the union, if need be. Capricorn is not about nourishing and helping others. It’s every man for himself.
Thankfully, Aquarius is about universal service to mankind. That’s coming soon!
