April 30th brings us the first quarter moon, a time when we pause and reflect on the themes that were initiated during the new moon. Here, the moon is in a fixed sign, where our emotions get stuck and feel immovable. We might get caught in a rut of pleasure, sidetracking our ability to build security. Quarter moons are crisis points or where we become aware of a roadblock of some sort during our journey. Whereas the full moon is a point of awakening and balancing paradoxical energies and reaching a healthy medium.

Moon in Leo can bestow animalistic passions and strong desires to enjoy the physical pleasures in personal way. This is a time when we reflect on how much pleasure and happiness our emotional self is getting from what we own. It’s opposite of Aquarius, which is about societal service and collective betterment. Here, it’s all about our personal power and personal pleasure.
Do we have enough in life to find contentment and enjoyment in our heart space?
This is a time to plan your own security with the help of others, pulling resources together and figuring out how you will materialize your needs and financial security.
The moon transits ALONE in the ONLY fire sign in the sky. This is a point in time when our emotional nature is holding a lot of warmth and heat. How we feel is a lot stronger than our inspiration at this point, since the Sun in Taurus is not exalted but slightly weakened. The need to feel good in the moment will likely overshadow the will to suffer for our principles in order to gain more structure and security in life.
The king sits on his throne, relaxed in the seat of his power, well-deserved after much unrest and conflict. But after sitting for a bit, his bum starts to hurt and he looks for enjoyments, past-times and pleasures. Otherwise, what’s the point of being king?!
Be careful of self-indulging in things that work against you and breed weakness. We aren’t seeing very clearly right now because our minds are consumed by desires and the need to have immediate gratification. We might not feel like getting out of bed, frankly.

This brings sharp sudden realizations of how we need to organize and approach our material concerns, forcing us to become very aware of how happy we feel during this journey for material gain.
We are not just aware of our own needs and how we manage our finances, but also the collective (Uranus). We need to align to universal values and larger-scale instincts. Mercury wants to figure everything out and how it works. It calls our soul to start managing its resources and vision as to be efficient and effective. Part of that is clear communication.
Moon sits in the 4th sign from Mercury Uranus and Sun, meaning that we are emotionally reflecting on the inner-child. Trying to figure out material problems at the highest level can frustrate us emotionally and get us nowhere. We have to have some faith and trust in the hidden hand of this world, guiding the flow of events and weaving it all together (Neptune in the 8th from Moon and 11th from Sun).
