This is a time when we solve the bigger problems in our lives. We have to fight for major change to happen. It’s time to buckle down and figure out how to use our energy to break free of our restrictions and act on solving the real s$%@ that is around us right now. This happens on Tuesday, ruled by Mars. It’s when we find the old worn out ideas we have and destroy them.
Saturn controls Mars in this conjunction. First we get real about our ideals, then act on them. Establish a foundation first, then start building and fighting towards the higher good. Aquarius is the highest ideal and aspiration. It is fixed thinking. It’s good for doing work that we started a while back, picking it back up, and plugging away at it for a LONG period of time until it gets done.
The fight for change will likely be blocked by our obsessive emotional need for comfort and feeling good in the moment (Rahu conjunct Moon in Cancer in 6th sign from Aquarius). We won’t be up for getting out in the streets and fighting for real change. But, we definitely need hope. We need something bigger to aspire to and embrace. Aquarius is a part of the bigger aspirations we have.
The last time Saturn was in Aquarius it was 1991 – 1993. This was when the Hubble Telescope was launched and the airlift for Ethiopian Jews to Israel occurred, among other major world events. Saturn in Aquarius is all about taking the dreams, hopes and goals we have and making them REAL. This often requires working with other people, as a collective unit, utilizing group dynamics and meshing our individual willpower with that of many others. This is why planets in Aquarius feel frustrated. They all have to act like they’re in a democracy. Before action can be taken, a consensus needs to be had. This takes TIME (saturnian quality) and patience. Aquarius is also the 11th sign from the exalted sun, which means that taking our new identity or vision and bringing it out to the larger world in a real way is going to take some maturity and discipline.
Meanwhile, back at the ranch…
Jupiter controls the Capricorn conjunction that moves into the tip of Aquarius. Our lack of optimism, faith and right knowledge or truth is part of what can hold us back from making revolutionary changes in our life. Negative thought forms keeps us in chains. The most hidden beliefs lingering in our subconscious will hold us back from accessing higher levels of consciousness.
Saturn and Mars enter the critical degree of Aquarius in the first decan, a constellation that is all about fighting for the right of the underprivileged and using one’s willpower to overcome hard problems so that real social change can take place.
The first section of Aquarius has a lot of energy. It’s just entered the sign and is fresh, awake, alive and ready to change things. It’s only when we enter the middle of Aquarius that things get kind of weird and unorthodox, and near the end is when Aquarius becomes for philosophical (it’s closer to Pisces) teaching others the true way to reform and progress society towards great things.
When a planet enters Pisces it basically realizes that nobody listened to it when it was in Aquarius and says, “Screw this. I’m going to the Himalayas to meditate and be in rapture with some spiritual divine source. This world is too crazy and frustrating. Tired of trying to change it. I’m outta here!”
I got sidetracked there…
Uranus Squared Saturn/Mars in Fixed Signs: Struggling Out of an Unpredictable Situation
Uranus has been a thorn in everyone’s side this year for quite some time. But the duties and pressures that are on our mind are grinding up against our need for security. This creates a war zone in the collective. Aquarius has to do with groups and larger society. Mars wants to break us free from the unstable and unpredictable feelings surrounding money and financial well-being. This is also a time when we start to express our new identity by applying our energy in a conservative and practical way to meet our goals. The lord of Aries is Mars sitting with Saturn in Aquarius. Everything we’ve worked to build up in Capricorn is going to have a final review in Aquarius and get a stamp of approval before shipping out to port: Pisces.
This is a critical time to take action and start planning and prepping for the future. Aquarius is all about where we stand in a larger context. Within a group or organization, who are we? Think about that for a moment.
Also…
I’m going to be honest. This country will be going through some very VERY rough times (complete financial collapse and civil war) in the near future. I’m saving up money to move to Australia and live out my days there, enjoying a strong economy, friendly people, beautiful nature (America is now nothing but shopping malls), relaxing beaches, exciting cultural atmosphere, damn near free healthcare and a slower-paced lifestyle.
And also because my astro-cartography says living in Australia might be the best choice.
