Capricorn Stellium: Feeling Burned Out?

Trevor Scott

Saturn, Pluto and Mercury are being burned by the Sun in Capricorn, where it’s feeling pretty weak and ineffective. Sun in Capricorn illuminates our position or status in the world and our need to conform to the rules of society and seek approval or validation from others, although not to the degree that a Libra Sun would. Capricorn is the sixth sign from the natural ruler of the Sun, Leo. The sixth house represents the starvation, blockage or hard work that needs to be done to overcome something with regards to our personal power and identity. The Sun being here doesn’t make for too much damage to other planets, since it can’t ignite the same spark as before, but it also doesn’t warm them or benefit them as much either. Its light or flame is dimmed. The energy of Mercury, Saturn and Pluto start to feel exhausted. The ability to manage our resources, communicate well and be disciplined with how we do business dealings may deteriorate. Business-savvy judgement might waver right now.

Sun being close to Saturn and Pluto is really illuminating our fears but also making us blind to them. We may not be able to see how to properly organize our lives at the moment or how to properly communicate our ambitions. Naturally, Capricorn is restrictive and filled with inhibition. But when Sun comes into it, we will be called to sacrifice something in our life (important position or relationship) in exchange for receiving something great. We may lose sight of our spiritual vision because we’ve been blinded by the small-minded nature of mercury and the overwhelming fears of Saturn/Pluto. This is the time to undergo spiritual purification and to get grounded. Overwhelming fear, chaos and lethargy come from a poor root chakra (muladhara) connection.
