Well, you probably already know what has happened with the recent eclipse…right? Everyone and their grandmother (who is into astrology, that is) has talked about it and hyped it up. I won’t waste too much time on that. But…
What’s not talked about is the collective will and bravery to make changes actually happen:
Mars: Courage, Action, Bravery
Mars in Mula Nakshatra in Sagittarius in the 12th from the Stellium of Capricorn but in the sixth house from our North Node indicates the following:
We will feel blocked from being able to comfortably allow ourselves to find our tribe and feel emotionally nourished by a group or community of people (soul family) because of the major energy that is being put into uprooting or unearthing the old outdated beliefs, ego-identifications, thoughts and seemingly secure “structures” in our lives (not so secure with Pluto there, giving us a lot of fear). This is the time to clear out your root chakra and work on establishing security within yourself. Find the wounds that you’ve been holding in your emotional body or in your overall identity and use your inner power to meet them head on, transmute them and move forward. That is what is important for now.
Granted, the lord of this Mars, which is the only fire planet holding the torch for us in these dark times (Winter has indeed come), is in a fallen state, Capricorn. There is a lot more negativity and pessimism than usual. Mars in Sagittarius is driven by inspiration, hope and seeing the bigger future, the light ahead of the tunnel. But Jupiter in Capricorn has a hard time seeing the good, and is more concerned with the practical. The landlord providing Mars the energy to dig to the root of the major problems in our lives that are holding us back from going to the mountain top and meeting our vision/goals doesn’t have that much energy to kick things into gear. Be careful to not be consumed with negativity and fear. This is not the time to sell yourself (your soul’s purpose) short just to meet society’s traditional standards or rules. Yes, play by the rules – just don’t let it become a prison that extinguishes your inspiration and personal vision.
This comes alongside the main event, the eclipse. The lunar eclipse, of course, is happening in the natural house rulers of the zodiac, the 10th and the 4th, Cancer and Capricorn: our inner emotional world and the cold harsh “facts-before-feelings” external world (mother and father archetype).
There are huge changes that need to be made in life to meet your soul’s purpose. But it all depends on accessing your own Mars and understanding the energies that you’re working with at this moment. Mars is in the sign of righteous fiery outspoken truth, and it being in the 8th sign from Taurus in Uranus (revolutionary changes in our values and our relationship with physical pleasures), will make us all feel truly pulled to transform our fixed habits and values for what relationships are like (Venus in Aquarius and Uranus in Taurus: interchanging signs…). The fear is also something Mars values to kick its butt into action. Yes, the world is a scary place and we have to fend for ourselves at the moment, or so it seems, but there is also a greater tapestry to the whole experience, no matter how harsh it may seem. Mars in Sagittarius gives us the energy to see the bigger picture surrounding the struggle that is happening in Capricorn (releasing all of our structures and traditional beliefs), and with this gnarly-ass eclipse, awakening our emotional natures to what we’ve been fearing.
