Aquarius, Egalitarianism and Wage Slavery

Trevor Scott

Aquarius is a sign of egalitarianism, groups, friends and service to humanity. Why is so much of this lacking in the world? The ruler of Aquarius, Saturn, is commonly afflicted by other transiting planets and therefore gives poor results. So, we see life play out predictably and repeatedly. Those who are represented by Saturn are constantly harmed and assailed by those who have power.

Saturn Represents:

  • Workers
  • Servants
  • Slaves
  • The masses
  • Elderly persons
  • Security

This planet is constantly being starved and damaged by other planets because it naturally has the most enemies out of all the planetary beings.

Mercury and Venus are Saturn’s only friends (love and communication assist the lower class). Who has better relationships, the poor or the rich? The poor. The rich and powerful cannot know true friendship or love. Mercury and Venus become burned or starved by the Sun (Leo’s kingly ruler). Mars (war and land), Moon (lack of comfort), Sun (abusive authority figures) present difficulties for Saturn (the lower-classes or the masses).

Jupiter and Saturn are both transiting in Aquarius at the moment, in a fixed square to Uranus in Taurus (financial security, food and basic material needs). There is a need to enhance everyone’s wellbeing, to bring greater fairness and prosperity to more than a handful of elites persons.

It’s pretty obvious that Aquarius contains the qualities of Saturn: endurance, discipline and servitude but on a mental plane (air sign), rather than a physical plane (earth sign). Aquarius bears water (nourishment and positive emotion). It burdens it in a massive gourd and pours it out for others, lightening their burdens and soothing the pain. Life is burdensome and filled with drudgery, limitation and obligation…Saturn’s domain.

Aquarius is the final compassionate engagement with the world before the liberation and renunciation of Pisces.

We see the themes of Aquarius play out in the world throughout history — but especially today in the US.

America has a desperate need for worker’s rights, unions or even worker cooperatives (as silly as those can be). Abuse exploitation and torment from the top down is currently what we see (Sun afflicting Saturn). Wall Street effectively runs our government.

They bought it after they were deregulated by Ronald Reagan in the 80s. They own everything. They own the healthcare system, and just like any other company, shareholders (investors) take first priority, and the worker/consumer (they’re effectively the same person) come last. The karmic wheel turns. All that is happening is in accordance to past life karmic retribution — on a collective level. This exploitation and suffering occurs because Saturn naturally has the most enemies. He is the planet of workers, servants and slaves.

We are all slaves to some extent. It’s a natural part of living in this world, as the slave is an aspect of God, an eternal archetype that is unchanged. There has always been slavery on this planet. It will continue, but not in the same form.

History merely repeats itself. Products will continue to become crappier and offer less for a higher price. Want a headphone jack for your phone? That’ll cost you $50 extra for a portable jack. They will charge you more money for less features on every single thing you buy. You will be charged more and more money for even the most basic features, ones that should come with the product in the first place!

As this continues, wages will also continue to dwindle. The current form of economic exploitation (abuse of Saturn) will continue until it cannot go on anymore. A king that abuses his subjects constantly and even actively kills them, will no longer be king. In other words by taking away money from workers in order to give more of it to the shareholder (increasing the stock’s value), the people will not be able to afford the very products that corporations need to sell. Eventually, the entire system stops functioning. Terminal idiocy.

They will ultimately lose this idiotic war waged upon the consumer. It will be a long slow decline that relies on the complacency of the average dullard. There is a way to escape it. Work on your Saturn and your Muladhara chakra, which represents the concrete, material existence of a human being. Escape the state of survival and enter the state of enjoyment. This is truly a test, as the environment of the US is quite toxic for maintaining a healthy Muladhara. Our root, just like Saturn, represents our repetitive actions, our routines (root-ine). You must choose positive routines, despite what the system (external forces of culture and institutional pressures).

This lopsided economic system, based on lopsided incentives, creates enormous inequality. It’s a crisis of values that drives it. There are no referees in the field to regulate or ensure a fair game is being played. Those refs would normally be a representative government by and for people. But America is not a democracy. It is an oligarchy of the rich.

The transit of Saturn and Jupiter through Aquarius is highlighting this for some. By Februrary 2022, when Sun and Saturn conjoin, this power-struggle between the lower and upper-class will manifest itself openly.

Major cultural shifts are seen when planets transit through Aquarius. What have we seen? The Anti-Work Movement. It’s a bit childish but I don’t blame them.

Why work for so little, especially when CEOs who bankrupt companies, accidentally kill their customers by purchasing cheap manufacturing parts for airplanes and worse, get to walk away unscathed, uncriticized by our corporate Wall Street-owned media (CNN, MSNBC, Fox etc.) and given 80 million-dollar golden parachute packages to keep them comfortable? The worse part is these criminals get hired again somewhere else, even with so much blood on their hands.

It doesn’t matter. The culture only values money, not human life. Aquarius is about acting on higher ideals and benefiting humanity equally. With Saturn, the planet of work, transiting with Jupiter in Aquarius, there are many ideas and beliefs that will arise of an extreme nature, and an idealistic nature. Hey, lots of people don’t want to work. Fine. We work too much. That’s true. We need more time (Saturn) to enjoy (Venus) relationships and positive life experiences.

Aquarius Brings Cultural Change

America has a culture that is completely built around Saturnian work principles. There is very little sex, fun, recreation or time for anything other than working paycheck to paycheck for “survival.” This is 100% symbolized by Saturn. The ruling class (The Sun) despises and looks down on employees who take a job. It is as if they are mad at them for needing employment. Odd.

There is a lack of respect or reverence for the worker. The most valuable precious thing in the world is the mass hub of workers who sweat, struggle and strain themselves to take chaos and force it into order, to take the dull lifeless organic material and make it into something useable for our comfort.

The investor class, typically those who inherit money and put it to work, is lauded as a sort of savior or God among men. In reality, the investor is quite worthless, much like the middle manager who takes credit for the work of those beneath him. This speaks of a crisis of values in people. The value system is broken. We worship those who aren’t just undeserving of worship, but deserve to have feces thrown at them in the street.

As the rich continue to get richer, wealth inequality reaches absurd irreversible levels of despairing magnitude; the poor huddled masses will continue to meagerly piddle away an existence filled with distraction and useful outlets for their venomous, impotent rage and misdirected hate: the internet – namely Twitter.

By understanding and working with Saturn, an individual can overcome the tendency to become a statistic, to become yet another victim of greater karmic forces (the dramatic play of life).
