On October 30th, Mars gains immense strength in the fixed water sign of Scorpio. Mars gives collective emotional strength to destroy demons (internal negative thinking states) and brave new territory within ourselves and in close-knit relationships.

Mars in Aries is about fighting external battles. Mars in Scorpio fights internal battles: spiritual battles. These can sometimes involve psychic attacks between people or a battle with one’s inner-negative dialogue.
Mars feels good in Scorpio, as he is gathering experience and energy before entering into his exaltation (Capricorn).
What Scorpio Indicates
There is deep emotion felt when planets transit through Scorpio. The sign is often associated with base animal instincts, since the symbol is the scarab or scorpion which digs holes (hiding or researching) and tries not to get stepped on (paranoid or defensive of getting hurt).

Two fixed malefic planets in powerful signs creates a war between them. Careful not get fixed on doing the same things over and over, expecting change to just work out.
This is a time to clean house and face whatever has been swept up under the rug for some time. Saturn is about responsibility and self-discipline. Don’t let fear cloud your emotional space and color your actions. Feel emotions but do so while grounding yourself in the present.
Squares are active points of contact, sort of like a cardinal sign or quarterly lunation phase. They get stuff done. But…Feeling “stuck” in some area in life is a huge symptom of fixed squares or feeling trapped by a negative place or condition, despite actually having the power to escape from it or change it.

Mars’s on One Side of the Nodal Axis: Lone Wolf
It’s not quite a Kaarl Sapra Yoga. But the energetic see-saw has swung far too much towards the other end of the zodiacal belt. The planets on the side of the south node (re-engaging old karmic duties and letting go of built up attachment) outweigh the north node’s side (initiating and activating through new experience).
Mars is all alone on Rahu’s side, right before Ketu, thus amplifying the martial or warrior temperament in the collective. The need to dig deep and push past barriers and boundaries will become apparent. We might feel like going it alone for a bit.

Lasting until December, the transit will be prime time for advancing one’s spiritual practices and using the body, energy (emotion) and willpower to move towards a divine, sublime engagement with spirit.

Mars in Scorpio does tend to hold onto emotions rather than express them willingly, even more so because Saturn is in the 4th sign from it.
