June 24, 2021 — The Full Moon is the complete zenith of psychic energy to be balanced out between two polarities, the traditional father and mother aspect, between the Moon in Saturn’s sign of Capricorn and the Sun in Cancer, the sign of the mother. Feeling and Comfort vs. Duty and responsibility, and emotional longing vs. realistic limitations and responsibility — these are the dichotomous themes seen with the Full Moon.
The Moon is in the same sign that Pluto is occupying; and the Sun is where Venus rests at the moment. This shows a confrontation of sorts within our selves, more than a confrontation with the world at large. Capricorn is a sign that definitely feels the pressure of not living up to certain ambitions and goals. But with this Full Moon, we can wake up to where we must be more emotionally mature and get “real” with how we feel about our kingdom (Sun in Cancer: home, family, roots and emotional bonds we have to other people).
Full Moon Sextile Jupiter
New opportunities will come to expand upon what we feel is needed in our professional lives. Jupiter brings meaning and hope. With an aspect to the Moon, there are strong feelings coming in that have to do with positively integrating the ambitious practical professional energy of Capricorn, to the sensitive fulfillment of the Moon. There’s a lot to feel cheerful and hopeful about in this case. Jupiter in his retrograde aspect the Moon should uplift and inspire unexpectedly. It’s really all about understanding our boundaries but merging beyond them. Jupiter in Pisces believes and trusts in the greater flow of the universe to get them to where they need to be, but Capricorn is all about taking action and initiating practical methods to get from point A to point B.
The Finger of God Aspect on the Full Moon
Unique to this cardinal moon is an inconjunction aspect from both Mercury (Gemini) and Mars (Leo). These two energies of creative willpower and intellectual curiosity feed off one another and exert themselves upon the Moon in Capricorn. The Yod aspect points to a need for release or actualization for the Moon’s psychic emotional energies. Their relationship from the Sun (Soul) in Cancer should be considered. As Mercury can indicate where we the soul is letting go of confusing ideas through the heart/emotional nature, and the Mars in the 2nd position from the Sun shows our creative will to act and be artistic is what will support our soul’s emotional journey (Sun in Cancer).
These planets aim their energy towards the Moon. Our emotional ambition should be tempered with an ability to lighten-up and release worries about what we should be doing or where we should be going in life; simultaneously, we should engage in our more passionate and creative side through the use of our will power — acting on what we really love to do, not just persist in the feeling that we should keep trudging along with our duties because we “just have to do.”
Full Moon Square Chiron
Just a reminder that Chiron is still here to bring its lessons: the pain of the ego-based identity and the fact that the very key to freedom or liberation lies in being one’s true authentic self (purely individualized identity). If you’re reading this, you probably already know. But squares are tension-induced aspects between planetary bodies that must be worked out in some concrete way. In this case, we do so actively and productively (cardinal energy) through coming to terms with our level of emotional security (Moon) that is often derived from one’s career or work in the world (Capricorn), overlapping with the pain of not being exactly who we want to be and acting on our passions (Aries).
Full Moon Inconjunct Mars
Mars is our energy and enthusiasm, which is far more empowered now that it has left the sign of debilitation, Cancer. The 6th (blocks to the ego’s gratification) and 8th (transformation of the ego) sign relationship exists between Leo and Capricorn. How do you feel about your ability to initiate and go after what you want in life, and the power you hold in the world? Does your life have enough structure to balance out the free-flowing creative aspect of it (water element) as well? Capricorn is the highest earth sign, the highest form of the earth realm is the throne, a tangible place where one sits and expresses power.
