January 28th, 2021 brings us a full moon in the early degrees of Leo, all in a tight T-square with malefic planets in fixed signs. So…It’s not the most comfortable place for the Moon to transit through — that’s for sure. But it is definitely a time for stepping into one’s power through creativity. Our feelings want to rest on the throne of self-control and power, yet the inevitable pressures of the world knock us back and forth. True change starts with improving our immediate environment. How do we feel about our kingdom? What philosophies and ideals motivate us to live life with regality and dignity?
Aquarius Sun & Leo Moon – Original 11th and 5th Zodiac Signs
Aquarius is cold — Ice cold and distant. It feels like a wasteland out there; the world is nearly alien. What we once loved seems dead and gone; look outside. Whatever is left of our culture looks like a relic from a more hopeful halcyon past, nestled in between an increasingly chaotic space of being. Aquarius is a karmic sign, inclined to collectivized social actions, scientific exploration, technology and cultural revolutions. The modern co-ruler of Aquarius is Uranus, currently cruising the heavens with Mars: separation and war. It is creating a violent culture-shock to society.

Saturn, Jupiter & Sun Conjunction in Aquarius: 7th from the Moon
Two malefic planets are hemming Jupiter, Sun (authority) and Saturn (underprivileged masses). It’s a bad time for leadership, finances, educators, law, moral authorities and luck. Generally speaking, however, all of these planets are in the opposite sign from the Moon. Feeling that creative joy and uninhibited self-expression is difficult now. The 7th house is the furthest away from a planet. It’s the opposite pole, moving into it inherently ‘costs’ the opposing sign’s planet. The larger institutions and societal constructs seem to bulldoze through our lives. We have little say to what occurs and what damage they do. Jupiter represents our leaders and it is opposed to the Moon this Thursday (the day of Jupiter), whilst also being combust — it’s too close to the Sun. Don’t expect leaders to save you. You must save yourself.
The Full Moon in Leo is THE ONLY Fire Sign in Transit

This full moon is a wake up call to do more individual creative work and improve on self confidence. Wake up to your own creative power to make decisions and to feel secure in what actions you can take in life. The Moon is in the 3rd sign from Gemini North Node. It’s the creative fruit of our collective desire to be more “informed” and socially “connected.” From the position of the Sun in Aquarius, Cancer is the 6th sign (daily work, obstacles, health) situated in the 7th house, 2nd from its home. We have to be aware of the value of family and community in this time. These people help us brave the turbulent societal changes that happen. Fire wants to rise higher and spread. The fire of Leo is consistent and stable, burning on and on. When the sign is squared by Mars (whom is weak in the sign of Venus – therefore, the damage isn’t as great), it violently separates us from what makes us feel unique and special. This comes through frustration with obtaining one’s needs (Taurus). Leo is a sign of importance and vitality, ruled by the Sun (which is in the opposite sign from Leo: the complete loss of vitality through greater forces of Jupiter and Saturn).
Venus in the 8th Sign from the Full Moon
There will be hidden, ego-shattering power-struggles and transformations in our relationships. Our ability to purchase things (value of money supply) or enjoyment. Relationships, at the moment, can be disastrous for our individual wellbeing. We’ll see a break down of traditions surrounding relationships and pleasure. Pluto with Venus is stripping away impurities of the lower-world, the realm of material indulgence. When it is in the 8th sign from the Full Moon, being harmed by harsh planetary energies, the indications of Venus (which represents women in general) are, in some part, eliminated from our awareness. We alone must light the spark that makes us feel passionate, without a kindling from others.
