We’re halfway through the Capricorn solar cycle. Capricorn is a hard, dry sign: rational, practical, analytical, structured and accomplished. It is symbolized by the father figure who goes out into the world to earn a living and support the tribe or family. Cancer is the mother. The sign that nourishes and comforts us. Water has no boundaries and seeks to flow or connect through devotion and care. Capricorn, on the other hand, is all about structure and organization that leads us to the next level or next promotion. These two signs are classic opposites. And once a year, they must come into balance.
But what structures have we been building? Is money and career everything? Does it disconnect us from our ability to share love and emotions with people close to us? This full moon awakens us to any hangups around these general themes. We must find balance now before moving towards the waning moon phase, where we will psychically work to cleanse any negative build-up in the last few weeks.
Moon in Cancer energies are stronger and have more pull over the Sun, who is in detriment or weakness. The nourishing and soothing qualities of the Moon are far more powerful than the analytical and hard-nosed ambitious nature of Capricorn. The need to take a break from it all and relax into something in life that gives us nourishment and fulfillment is of utmost importance now.
Sun and Mercury Opposite the Full Moon
We are trying to figure out what works and still gives us happiness. It’s good to be intellectual and organized, effective in the world but it should not cost us internal contentment. Mercury opposed to the Moon wants to account for how we feel about what has transpired over the last 15 days. Feel too much or think too much? Balance the two out!

Venus/Ketu in the 6th House from the Full Moon
Move into the heart, the sense of devotion and care for something. Let go of how much happiness, sensuality or pleasure YOU get from that thing. Relationships and the beliefs we have concerning them and what they bring to the table, AKA, “the never-ending wishlist,” must be eliminated so that something better will come. If we go after self-centered love at the moment, rather than total giving of the Moon, there will be a fall from grace. The ideals you have about the other person will fall short.
Generally, it might be hard to experience the joy or pleasure of the world. There is a disconnect here with how fulfilled we feel with the sensory world. We should work on what fantasies or unrealistic desires we have in partnerships and relationships. We might be looking for satisfaction from places that simply aren’t meant to give it to us.
Jupiter/Saturn in the 8th House from Full Moon
Emotionally, the new pressures we have from the collective cultural changes and challenges serve to transform our minds. This powerful moon is giving a sign (non-planetary) aspect to Saturn and Jupiter, providing more fulfillment and intuitive longing to these socially-oriented Aquarian planets. The changing social structures that are beyond our control will provide mysterious transformations to our internal awareness or our emotional nature.
Uranus Sextile Full Moon: Gaining New Psychic Insights
This gives a great opportunity to look at your dreams and unconscious states, finding hidden gold and hidden assets there that are out of the ordinary. The vision will hold the key to greater understanding of how things are fitting together in life.
Keep in mind that the Pluto/Mars square is occurring in cardinal signs and situated in angles from this full moon. We must integrate our personal power and regain some sense of autonomy in the face of increasing powerlessness. Mars in aspect to Pluto gives way to hidden outbursts of anger and violence, the destruction of land and property and
