Now is the time to find new ways of enjoying life. We are all searching for something new, yet still practical and grounded.
Venus in Gemini began a few days ago on April 3rd. Venus moved out of its comfortable earthy home and ran into the outside world to experiment and experience. Venus is in a friend’s sign. It’s staying at his friend’s house and playing with the stuff there. The reason Venus is friendly with Mercury is because these are the planets that represent our interaction with the physical world, the Maya.
Mercury is how we understand things and organize the information input that comes through the senses. But Venus is about relationships with others and the things in our world, what our values are and how much enjoyment we get out of the finer things of life.
Mars and Saturn in Aquarius trine Venus is about finding the fun and games in solving the higher problems of life and working through the limitations that we’re presented with right now.
Venus in Gemini at the critical degree shows that there is an imminently strong need to find something “good” and “pure” to love. These things could be incredibly foreign to us. The true pleasures of life could be, at the moment, hidden to us, since we can’t see past our need to gain emotional security and comfort. The landlord of Gemini, Mercury, is sitting with Neptune in Pisces, the 10th sign from Gemini. We’re a little confused on how to manage our resources to where we maximize pleasure.
Jupiter is closer to the south node, and Venus is edging its way towards the north node. We are focusing more on the material world and relinquishing the “false” wisdom of the past. The figures that we used to trust and put our faith in are going away. The figures that bring us pleasure and comfort in life are the most important right now. We want to hear (Gemini) good news from the world.
It’s moving toward the north node, where our values and pleasures get imbued with a sense of destiny and purpose. It’s also where we have to really to construct more of a particular part of life. Venus with the north node shows we are learning how to express new values, new relationships with younger people and balancing out our relationship to pleasure. It shows we are entering into a time when gaining new experiences and information will outweigh feeling emotional comfort.
Venus is a double significator of sense-pleasure. The south node is all about releasing things from our consciousness and the north node is about developing and incorporating things. It’s when addiction and bad habits start to kick in, however. We often don’t know how to regulate when enough is enough, or when we’ve had too much of something. It’s what we’re working on.
Anything that makes us relax and say, “ahhhh,” that’s in Venus’s wheelhouse.
Because Venus sits in the 3rd sign from the seat of the soul, and because it represents the things that give us comfort in life: massage therapists, nurses, prostitutes, vehicles, being able to walk to a grocery store, etc., there will be a lot of disruption to how much pleasure we garner from the projects we’ve started. Pleasurable distractions could challenge our path and get us detoured from our vision or inspired purpose.
Whenever the moon transits ALONE on a single side of the nodal axis APRIL 1ST – APRIL 12th it creates feelings of emotional isolation and can bring the mind out of balance.
The moon is our emotional state and our psyche. It’s a time when we feel rather confused about how to balance the rhythms of life with the universe’s ceaseless changes.
These are excellent times to do spiritual practice that helps us balance our energy. Right now it’s out of alignment.
