This is a revolution in our value systems and how we approach materialism. What are our needs, really? How do we meet them?
The next month will entail:
- Transforming the meaning we derive from worldly pleasures
- Making us work HARD at improving our ability to garner security
- Giving us the opportunities to focus more on what’s really important in life
- Avoiding losing ones’ self in doing “real” stuff and not feeling enough
- Finding New and inventive ways to negotiate our needs and be self-reliant
Moon in Taurus is typically exalted, but when it’s too close to the Sun during the new moon phase, it gets sapped of strength and devoured by the Sun’s powerful rays. We may feel too emotionally exhausted to express what we want right now. There may even be some guilt or self worth issues arising with regards to being able to have what we want in life. However, the new moon in Taurus starts a new cycle for us. Instead of inspired ideas and vision, we start plodding along and putting the pen to paper, so to speak. Now we may not get done at the end of it. But this is the beginning of real progress. We can pick it up and edit it when we enter Gemini, next month. Then after that, start pouring emotional strength into it, when we enter Cancer. I can go on.
From the new moon, we become very aware of new and inventive ways to meet our needs by a sudden shock of intuitively and logically knowing what we have to get in our lives. Depending on the house this falls in, we examine the area of life that this new beginning takes place.
Asc. – who we are
2nd house – what we own
3rd house – what our talents and interests are
4th house – what we’re content in
5th house – where our heart and creative passion lies
6th house – what routines and health issues need stability
7th house – relationships with others
8th house – our psychological makeup and ability to cope with change
9th house – our overall faith and path in life
10th house – what we do for a living
11th house – our social networks
12th house – our spiritual needs and expenditures
From this new moon, Neptune is in the 11th house. We may start dreaming of garnering more income, new pleasurable experiences and enjoyments. However, we must be certain not to get lost in the dreaming and overlook what real things must be done to get us security. (Neptune 11th square Venus 2nd)
Neptune is in the 10th from Venus, showing us a time when we have to have faith that our comforts will still be met in life through a mysterious universal force, somehow and someway.
Since Venus is in the 2nd house from the new moon, we are really thinking and communicating about what we really value in life. Once mercury moves out of Aries into Taurus, the mutual exchange will help us get our material affairs in order.
Mars and Saturn, the two malefic energies are in the 10th house from the new moon. This is when we will really have to work hard to cut away at stagnation and poor habits that are keeping us stagnant. If we’re lost in the chaos and confusion (Neptune) then we have to force order and structure into our lives (Saturn). Only then can we better find meaning and purpose (Jupiter/Sun). We might end up throwing away things that aren’t just the essentials.
Mercury in 12th from new moon: we must manage and organize our expenditures and losses. We have to take decisive and real action towards getting what we want out of our experience, despite how limiting things feel.
Mars in the 8th from the North Node: If we really want to feel secure in this world, connected emotionally with others and have belonging somewhere, we must take to working hard to service humanity (other people) as best as we can, while also considering our own basic needs first. Because the north node is in the 3rd house from the new moon, it shows that we will be obsessively interested in gathering up ideas for new ways of earning material prosperity.
Jupiter can represent indulgence and doing too much of something. This is a time to slow down consumption and get to the bare-bones basics. This is because Jupiter is in Saturn’s sign, debilitated and confined. Saturn is conjoining it from a different sign, Aquarius. Saturn is a much stronger power for the collective consciousness right now over Jupiter.
We want cold hard dry facts over big ideas and dreams. This is a time to get to work and start building a secure structure for our kingdom (our lives). The strongest harshest planets are in angles to the new moon. We are going to start a journey of breaking past our own limitations and finding out what we really love and what we really want to invest in (time, money and energy).
Well the time for acting on our inspirations and shining our individualized purpose into the world is over. Now we start to ground what we began into the material, illuminating what we really need to make our vision “work.” This is all while our emotions are looking for escape from this world, to relax and go someplace far away from the chaos. This is where we take time to reflect and think about what really matters.
Is mindless consumerism what we long for, or a deeper connection with our fellow human beings?
Moon conjuncts Neptune and sits in the 9th sign from the North node. This is where we start reminiscing how we feel about where we belong, and what our tribe means to us. Is it providing some bigger sense of meaning to us?
Sun’s Beginning Ingress Into Taurus with Uranus
The Sun begins to highlight key issues with how we get our needs met. Its energies heat up Uranus, the planet which rules over the higher creative mind, the masses and sudden revolutionary change. This will be the beginning stage of finding a new way to build a stable life: good food, shelter and community. What we think is secure, turns out to be a massive unexpected turnaround.
The Sun is not too happy in Taurus, since our entire worldview becomes consumed by selling short our strongest and purest inspired vision for our lives away in exchange for cold hard cash: material security. Uranus is also unhappy in Taurus. It’s naturally causing the revolutionary energies to turn inward and not express their full power (like in Scorpio…where it’s exalted) as it is the natural 4th quadrant from Aquarius, the original sign that Uranus rules over.
There will be virtually no organized religion in the future. It is dissolving and breaking down quickly.
The South Node, Ketu, trines Uranus providing us a way to release and purify old karmas associated with how we earn an income or make our way in the world (Capricorn-themes).
The Sun, while transiting in Aries, was angular to Pluto and Jupiter in Capricorn, showing that our individual kingdom was to undergo a massive transformative crisis, involving a great power struggle between individual autonomy and institutional power, and spurring us into extreme action, often based on bad knowledge (Jupiter debilitated).
This time, the Sun transiting in the early signs of Taurus will be angular to Saturn and Mars in a fixed karmic sign. This is where we really start to feel the pain, frankly. This is when we start to solidify
Saturn calls us to operate within certain boundaries and limitations in life. It’s all about surviving on the bear-minimum needed. Mars acts similarly, but not to the degree of Saturn. He is gaunt and border-line starving. He demands that we discipline our financial lives and understand that we don’t NEED so many things. This month will mark a time when we are cutting back. When Mercury comes up to conjunct Sun in Taurus, there will be a time to manage, organize and get to trade around our things. This is a big time to appraise how we identify with the material and work to break out of illusion (Neptune).
When it squares the Sun, it really makes our entire world stand still and feel completely stuck. We have to figure out new ways of expressing our needs into the world, despite the limitations. It’s going to take a lot of work and breaking through fixed ideas or thoughts about how this world works. Our thoughts and emotions are still manifesting parts of this reality.
Moon and Neptune are in the 11th sign from Sun and Uranus. This is a time to listen to our dreams and intuitions. They will lead us to unexpected ways of building security and pleasure in life.
Mercury and Chiron in Aries in the 12th from Sun and Uranus in Taurus means that we are letting go of overthinking how we are going to “make” it or survive.
