May 13th will bring us the last quarter moon, the final critical point in our new moon cycle. It’s the last pit stop before the conclusion of our goals and vision: manifesting a brand new set of values and enjoying material prosperity. Saturn gives us pressure. It pressures us with the reality of time and the fact that we will die. Aquarius is ruled by Saturn, and the higher octave of Mercury. We start thinking hard about our values.
Venus, the lord of the sun is conjunct the north node in Gemini. Our vision may need to return to a better understanding of our values, one final time before we solidify them.
The energy of Taurus is very personal. It’s all about what we own, not what other people have. But, the moon has reflected on the emotional consistency of (Leo), balanced out other people’s needs and the commitment we have to supporting them (Scorpio) and is now finalizing its evolution by engaging our emotions within the larger aspirations of society.
How do we use our personal property or possessions to help uplift the collective?
This is when we externalize our values and expand them to the larger society. We might feel a bit emotionally frustrated and frizzled-out by the problems plaguing the collective consciousness, great transformation is brewing. Pluto holds the lowest point in the conjunction, as it is closest to the south node: releasing outdated beliefs and prejudices in the collective unconscious.
The moon is now in a cold distant sign, unlike Leo. It’s not interested in the “self” but in the “other.” It’s also hemmed in by malefic harsh planets, showing the need to get through some emotionally gritty karma. Stuck in between the need to push forward towards an ideal and let go of the restriction and delays we feel collectively.
It’s time to move past the fear and move towards courage. Our emotional nature is trying to overcome the poverty mindset and lack mentality that plagues the collective belief system.
Aquarius entails very hard problems that are bigger than the individual. They incorporate all of humanity. The moon in Aquarius, the highest point from Taurus, makes us feel emotionally strung out, stuck in the collective thought stream. We’re dealing with the collective energies, after all.
How do our values and security hold up against the larger scheme of things?
How do we contribute to a larger society through our voice and our material success?
