Jupiter in Pisces for 2021

Trevor Scott

After being at war with Saturn for the better part of a year, Jupiter finally enters his home sign in the mutable waters of Pisces. Jupiter will be with Neptune and will create a time of massive spiritual awakening or cleansing. The water element purifies and nourishes. This Jupiter retrograde follows earlier ones made by Pluto, Saturn and Mercury, in that order, within a pretty tight time frame. Time is flying by quickly and we are asked to reflect as much as we can on our personal spiritual progress and the meaning behind why we are faced with such harsh conditions collectively. The internal state of consciousness is related to one’s outer conditions. Jupiter allows us to connect the dots.

Pluto retrograde has shown us the need to take ownership of our personal power. We can choose to identify with the true self or false self. If we go with the latter, the ego will be crushed by external forces beyond our control. How many have lost their livelihoods, jobs, relationships and identities in the past year alone? Many people commit suicide under harsh Pluto transits, as it bulldozes the ego to reach the human soul. Don’t be one of them. Learn to let go and trust in something greater— another Jupiter Pisces theme. Mercury ‘s retrograde is about reassessing our understanding, our connections and skills to see what works and what doesn’t. And Saturn is about coming to terms with the fact that life can just suck. The human form is finite, the spirit infinite. All of this serves as a backdrop to the primary need of Jupiter in Pisces to see how aspects of our inner world connect to our outer circumstances.

Remember that Pisces is all about escapism and escaping into fantasy. The energies want to connect to the divine, as it is the final sign, signifying liberation from karmic rebirth, and the state required before incarnating once more, incurring an endless cycle, in the first sign of Aries. The craving to be boundless, infinite and untethered by the world will be stronger than ever with Jupiter and Neptune in Pisces. For most of 2021, Jupiter will linger in Aquarius, the sign of the collective. While in Pisces however, the energies can pull us into finding spiritual rapture by isolating ourselves from the world on spiritual retreats or doing a bunch of drugs to escape life and getting hooked on them. I don’t recommend it.

Instead, use the next few weeks to develop greater engagement with your spiritual self.

Planets in Pisces will be expanded and dissolved. You’ll be searching for more meaning and more depth in some area of life.

Saturn: Your boundaries will blur and dissolve, expand and enrich you. You’ll find true meaning in the mundane parts of life. And you might just strike oil.

Jupiter: This a Jupiter return. You’ll be reviewing and changing your fundamental beliefs about the world and yourself. It’s a hopeful time

Mercury: You’ll be enthusiastic about learning about and engaging with friends about spiritual subjects, but you might be forgetful of details

Sun: You’ll feel more confident, expressive and inspired to lose yourself in something beyond this world

Moon: You’ll emotionally crave meaning, spiritual communion and physically moving towards a large body of water

Venus: A powerful time to expand your values and get involved in increasingly spiritual relationships

Mars: You’ll feel more dynamic and able to act on what inspires you creatively. You’ll feel like life is doing things through you and you are like a passenger.

On April 15, 2022, Jupiter and Neptune come together by exact degree, while Venus is exalted. The spiritual zeitgeist will be triggered heavily upon that day.

Jupiter Retrogrades on June 20th

The planet of abundance, optimism and wisdom starts to reflect and move back into late Aquarius on July 28th and stays there until October 16th. This is when we question everything we’ve been led to believe about organizations, institutions, non-profits, humanitarian goals and scientific consensus. Depending on the house Jupiter retrogrades in, you’ll feel this sense of questioning and disbelief more readily.
