Our nerves are on edge. Too much mutable energy causes the jitters and makes it feel like NOTHING is stable or fixed.
When Venus joins the Sun tightly it is being consumed by the power of the Sun. The qualities and significations of Venus: receptivity to other people’s needs, being accommodating, compromising with others, a large swath of material possessions, women, making healthy personal choices, beauty, creativity, passion and love, all become dried up and agitated.
Imagine all of the dirt and build-up being burned away by the Sun’s rays. That’s what is happening now…only in the first air sign!
We are rediscovering what we love in life and what is going to give us more pleasure “in the world.” We might be a little more touchy about how much we are appreciated and respected.
This conjunction of Sun and Venus will really affect young people,
Sun & Venus Conjunct in Gemini:
When Venus is too close to the Sun, it burns out. It doesn’t want to go out to socialize and “party it up.” Gemini wants to have fun new experiences, but only to a certain point.
Venus, which is, for a Gemini, the ruler of both the 5th and 12th houses, is being consumed by the Sun, the ruler of the 11th house (greater wishes, collective groups and goals). We may feel completely exhausted and unable to “enjoy” life’s pleasures. Venus is out of energy and has to live in hot dry air. Things feel scattered and we might not know what decisions are the best at the moment. We’re curious how to navigate our relationships and not put ourselves last for the partner, or sacrifice too much to make sure that a relationship stays afloat.
The question during this transit is this…
Are we committed to emotionally working through the emotional instability in our daily experience? We’re certainly more receptive to what needs to change in our lives to make sure we maximize our pleasures and minimize our losses (which can come out of the blue, frankly). This has to do with Moon, Mercury and Mars being in the water trines, feminine and emotive, not masculine and expressive. The planets aren’t trine by aspect — no way. But the fact that they occupy the water element and are still in relationship to one another does bring about certain results.
For instance, Uranus being in the 12th sign from Gemini opposite Moon, in the 11th from Mercury and in the 3rd from Mars/Neptune shows sudden insights about how we view the world that seem to just come from nowhere. We just “know” somehow. In the most intuitive and gut-felt sense, we see how our lives can change for the better and a more playful, youthful and adventurous experience can emerge out of initial feelings of restriction, burdensome duty and limitation.
This is when we tap into our intuitive higher mind (Neptune) and seek guidance from the ephemeral and eternal. We should know that we have little control over our reality, most of the things that happen in life just occur, our will has nothing to do with it. Sure, we can visualize and create things. Even then, we are limited to what this universe entails. There are numerous moves to make on a chessboard but you can’t just pull pieces off the board and make up rules on the fly. We are learning to let the universe “do” a lot of the action for us, relinquishing our will and allowing things to flow in harmony towards the greatest good.
The landlord of Gemini is Mercury, sitting in an enemy sign, in the water element. The force of Mercury is making us even more emotional about our personal value and our relationships. We might feel way too burnt out to start socializing and connecting with others. This is a good time to know how to manage and direct our emotional nature towards something fruitful and creative, not destructive and insane (most people choose the latter). If we are a bit confused on how to manage our life well (and we often can be), now is the time to tune-into our emotional body and calmly stay engaged with it. There is far more energy activating the emotions as opposed to the intellect right now.
Jupiter and Pluto are conjunct in the 8th sign from a combust Venus: Transforming what we love the most in life
This is a time when we transform how much faith we put in those little pleasures that we think will always be there for us. The world is changing rapidly. The old karmic patterns are shifting. The massive institutions and structures (Saturn) are undergoing a gigantic shift, thereby affecting our personal lives (Venus, Moon, Mercury, Sun). There may very well be a gigantic financial market crash on the horizon.
We can survive it, though.
There are hidden reservoirs and resources of support for us to access. Spirit can provide answers at this time, since the connection to the higher realms is far more powerful now.
Saturn Retrograde is the final depositor for the heavenly placements!
We have to ensure that everything in our life is pressure-tested and made stable. This is when we get real about what we’ve been doing over the last few years. Especially, now, since Saturn is in the 9th sign from the Sun, Venus and North Node in Gemini, we are reflecting on the higher purpose and meaning of our path. What sacrifices need to be made, in order to provide a greater foundation in life?
- Saturn is retrograde in the highest air sign: complex larger issues take the forefront
- We’re finishing up the hardest problems in our lives right now
- Develop patience with yourself and your life’s path, no self-comparison either
- Don’t get bogged-down on your mistakes and fall into repeating them — get and go
- Reflect on your limitations and reality, accept it and let it go, but don’t brood on it
Mars and Neptune in the 10th from Gemini: Getting Lost in Action
We might feel like a lost fish swimming back and forth, not knowing which way to go exactly. We want to move towards a particular thing, yet we also want something else that’s in the opposite direction. How do we move our lives forward in a particular direction? It’s hard to “commit” to anything right now, since things are up in the air.
We might sacrifice some comfort and pleasure to move forward towards a greater vision for our life. The 11th and the 6th signs from the North node and Sun are ruled by Mars, which rests in the highest position from Gemini: Pisces. We are working to develop the strength and courage to let go of delusion, confusion and pain. It’s important not to run away from our problems right now or get lost through trivial and uninspired work. We have the grit right now to fight for our dreams and ideals, opening the way for a new life.
Most of the planets, except for Moon and Mercury, are on the south node’s side.
This shows that we are engaged in releasing karma from our lives rather than moving towards deeper engagement with new aspects of the world. The closest planets to the south node are Pluto and Jupiter. Once more, we are still working to reflect on our prejudices, traditions, beliefs and the meaning behind our “careers” or duty in society.
Jupiter and Pluto are being flushed down the karmic toilet, so to speak. We are releasing these planets in order to cut through illusion and find the purest expression of their energies.
What work needs to be done to let go of this and embrace new experiences and ideas that build our lives up, not break them down???
