Full Moon in Virgo Feb 2021 — Awakening to Purity

Trevor Scott

A Full Moon in Virgo occurs on Saturday, Feb. 27th, 2021. It’s a time when we focus on getting certain behaviors and emotional temperaments in order. Virgo is a sign of a young girl holding wheat, something to be harvested through tedious means. It’s the sign of someone who is becoming or blossoming into maturity. It is also a sign that represents the nitty-gritty process of doing the daily work necessary to sustain our life. Virgo corresponds to the natural sixth house of the zodiac, one’s day job, health and habits. When the Moon is here, opposed to the Sun, the light of the soul illuminates the psychological need for structure, order and material understanding of how our lives work.

Key Takeaways! – This Moon Opposes Venus and Neptune (Creative Dreams)

  • Lose a year’s worth of Covid-19 sedentary weight gain by focusing on your health
  • Find new and inventive ways to get organized in your daily life
  • Pay attention to the details in life (there are unexpected opportunities that lie there)
  • Find ways to serve yourself or others to give more comfort and improve life

Full Moon Yod Aspect

The in-conjunction between both Chiron in Aries (healing the self/ego) and Saturn in Aquarius (social restrictions and burdens) to the Moon is creating. Chiron is in the 8th house from the Moon, whereas Saturn is in the 6th house. Healing our sense of self and self-confidence can transform the way we go about managing our daily lives, and the larger social restrictions imposed on us by institutions can stagnate the growth of the Moon here.

Awakening to the Key Details

Uranus makes a nice earthy trine to the Moon. There is an added sense of waking up to something that you’ve never thought of before, something “out of the blue” and original. The trine aspect is a 5th and 9th aspect, creating, in a sense, an emotional wake-up call to start properly organizing and discriminating what you do and do not want in life.

Mutable Energies & Exaltation Opposition

Moon in Virgo is opposing an exalted Venus conjunct the Sun. Oppositions pull at one another, either detracting or enhancing each other. In the extremes, the two opposites express themselves identically. They become one. The emotional need for something to be pure and organized in our lives, pulls us away from our desire to just drift, to experience something pleasurable and enjoyable by letting yourself get rid of any sense of obligation to the material. Pisces is all about going with the flow and finding devotional loving trust in something “beyond” this material world.

However, Virgo is all about practically dealing with the mundane practical details of everyday life. It’s not the Sagittarian dream of idealism and higher principles. It’s not a fund time, like how a Gemini would want it. It’s not glamorous either, like what the Pisces desires, but it must be done in order for life to function well.

The Moon, Sun, Venus, Neptune and the nodal points are in angles/quadrants — activation points from one another.

We are figuring out how to put the pieces together, how much of reality to let in and how much healthy fantasy to engage in. Some fantasy and escapism is actually good. It gives us a nice break. But…like all things, too much of this leads us astray; we’re unable to contribute to the world what we must. One becomes engulfed by chaos and delusions.

Saturn, Mercury, Jupiter in 6th Sign from the Full Moon

A great benefic, neutral and benefic planet are situated in the 6th sign from the Moon. There will be a lot of blocks to how we organize and purify our mental sphere precisely due to the chaotic nature of social groups and organizations in the broader society. A large part of finding purification for our mind is to look at what larger structures or social organizations we are a part of. How do these help or hurt our ability to emotionally manage life in a competent way?

Full Moon for Each Ascendant or Moon Sign

Aries – 6th House

You are going to be analyzing your daily habits, health issues and your day job. Find something you love (Venus) in your daily tasks and try out a diet or self-care routine that you enjoy or derive inspiration from (Sun/Neptune).

Taurus – 5th House

The Moon enters into your creative house, a place that extends out from your core being. You might find new realms of creative self expression that get triggered by women in your social circle.

Gemini – 4th House

The Moon is in your 4th house of home and foundational security. You are figuring out what you need or do not need to feel at home, secure and happy. Normally, you like everything to be tidy and in order at home. Now you’ll see much or how little you need. The Moon will also start to wane and aspect Rahu/Ketu which are on your angles. This will be the time for critically looking at what roots or attachments need to be let go of so that your personality and relationships can start to evolve.

Cancer – 3rd House

Your third house of activities, skills, siblings and personal initiative is getting activated. The Moon’s transit here is quite powerful because it rules your entire life path. How much or how little are you paying attention to the details of your environment? Are you enjoying what you’ve chosen to pursue in terms of educational or career pursuits?

Leo – 2nd House

Your second house of finances and self worth will activate, as well as the eighth house aspect of the Sun, Venus & Neptune in Pisces. Be careful to check where you’ve let other people carelessly overreach in joint accounts and cost you money. Find out how to get your finances and checkbook in order.

Virgo – 1st House

This transit will light YOU up. It’s a time to check in on how you are presenting yourself to other people and whether or not you are holding too much back, eg. “being too shy.” Find a good routine that you LOVE and get organized with how you start your day when you wake up. First house is where the Sun crosses the eastern horizon.

Libra – 12th House

Your subconscious mind will get cleared out and organized. Pay attention to your dreams at this time and ask others, especially co-workers or female friends, to give you some input on what details you might be glossing over. This is a great time to just take a break and relax. Get out of the confusion that comes from engaging with the day-to-day world of work or routine.

Scorpio – 11th House

Your social circle and how you are making money is going to be scrutinized. The adaptable and social Moon transits through the critical eye of Virgo in your social house can show that you will be taking a strong look at what social networks you are involved in. You might decide to not allow certain people into your life anymore and choose to express your creative individualistic self (5th house) in a new way that will draw to you a new set of social interactions.

Sagittarius – 10th House

Are you spending too much time working? Do you want to express more of your spirituality or musical Pisces interests at home? This is a time where you might have a sudden revelation or awakening about how much value you are getting out of your career. The house that is ruled by the Moon in your horoscope is the 8th house, a hidden or psychologically sensitive place. These things will partially manifest through the realm of career or public image.

Capricorn – 9th House

How do you fit into your culture? What beliefs are guiding you through your life? This is where you take a critical look at what beliefs are driving you. Figure out a realistic and practical plan for your future that will involve micro-scheduling (Virgo is about detail) your day into well-defined parts that compile together to make your life function optimally. The 9th house is the 4th from the 6th. It pertains to the beliefs or conceptual frameworks that provide us with emotional security for our daily grind.

Aquarius – 8th House

Your deep need to serve humanity and change society in a larger way may need to be re-evaluated. Sometimes the road to hell is paved with good intentions. Pisces creates a longing and sense of illusion about your values and sense of security. It opposes and seeks to strike a balance with the logical and analytical qualities of Virgo. The eighth house is hidden, and often involves themes of sensitive psychological pain points and the longevity of our unions with other people. You could find this to be a major turning point in the longevity of your relationships, more-so if you’re a male engaging with women (Venus is in your 2nd house).

Pisces – 7th House

This is when you look at your relationships and figure out if your needs are being met. It happens once every year for the Pisces ascendant. You’ll strike a balance between your need to be emerged in boundless loving union and the need to have normal, healthy (rational) boundaries for your relationships — just so that they don’t become codependent.
