Every month of this year, the moon transits around and conjuncts the most intense stellium of planets we’ve have had in Capricorn. It’s when we turn inward and reflect on the duties and pressures that we have to meet. It’s when emotional processing takes place. We take into account the realities that we’re having to deal with and let go any attachment to the outcome.
Saturn and Mars are enemies. Yet Aries is ruled by Mars and Capricorn is ruled by Saturn. The two lords conjoin in Saturn’s highest air sign: Aquarius. Yet, they’re still cardinal squares. This is a critical moment that we are coming into.
Since Saturn swallows up Mars, duty comes over personal desires and passions. We do what we must, what the world needs of us, then we do what we want.
Saturn being the lowest planet in the conjunction controls Mars and tells our passionate willful self to SLOW THE HECK DOWN & GET REAL!
We will discuss the final quarter moon in an upcoming blog post. But, for now, here is some additional information about what needs to happen inside us this week.
This final quarter moon is where we really pressure test our new identity in the real world. It’s the last crisis point before the start of a whole new moon cycle. So, our emotions can undergo an intense transformative crisis. In Capricorn our identity is strengthened and we are told to grow up – fast. It’s a time to develop self-empowerment and put our vision to work (you likely already have).
Sun is getting closer to Taurus. This past month was all about embracing our true selves. When the fires of Aries move into the first earth sign, our awareness transitions out of initiating things and moves into stabilizing our identity in form.
How do we solidify our new identity, through what means? We make our inspirations and personal power tangibly real. The possessions we own are often a reflection of our state or status in this world. The things that are around us are undoubtedly a reflection of our internal state of awareness. But, I’m off on a tangent again.
Before the Sun moves into Taurus, the late degrees of Aries must be put to the test by getting squared by Pluto (unconscious), Jupiter (faith) and the Moon (how we feel). This is where our identity and power gets emotionally tested and we are called to take action and make sure we’ve chosen our path wisely. Do we have the strength to be consistent in who we are? This is where we find out!
As a Side Note:
Saturn and Mars are in the 10th sign from Uranus: This represents the need for committed collective action towards solving problems greater than ourselves. It triggers the survival consciousness. The lord of the Sun in Aries is Mars, whom is sitting with an enemy malefic, Saturn. This shows the landlord of the Sun (personal power, identity, vision) isn’t being careful with the property. He’s too overworked to come take care of the leaky pipes and loud neighbors. This shows that our new vision involves the incorporation of collective issues. We can’t just follow our passions right now. We have to balance it out with what this world needs and what limitations are being put upon the masses.
Saturn and Mars in 9th from Venus: This is where we try to experiment with what turns us on and what gives us the greatest pleasure in life. Venus moves away from Uranus and towards the North Node. Solving harder problems brings more joy and meaning to our daily lives. Venus is in the 2nd house from the traditional 2nd house lord, Taurus. It shows we need to blend our passions with our skill development.
